I've had this one on my mind for a while, just took me some time to get it all together. First, I had to decide which ornament design (preferably not Christmas specific) I was going to feature, then actually pick the colours and make the thing 'live' in front of the camera still shots. It was fun! You may find another video of it's kind showing up in my repertoire sometime in the near future! -Karen
This was uploaded a few days ago. Sorry for the delay, we were trying to figure out why the colour loaded differently than the first two. Don't ask me, I'm not a techie. Looks the same when we open the file to modify, but looks different when we view on YouTube! Can't figure it out, maybe if we do, we'll update the upload. Still really happy with the video though, as it completes the series! Check it out! Oh, and if you have any idea what might have gone wrong with my colour, please let me know!
I've just been informed that my website server is down. Boo Hoo. You know, I don't mind, perhaps even enjoy playing around with the computer...that is to say, working in Photoshop (I love designing marketing materials!), AutoCAD is still a favorite of mine...but I don't think I'll ever understand the circuitry. Ask me to prepare a document in Word or Excel, and I'm OK, but ask me it keeps crashing or how to fix it?....Forget it! Please be patient, I hope we'll be back on-line soon! -Karen
If you're familiar with our product, have seen us at a craft or wedding show, you may be wondering 'what has happened to Subtle Details?'. Well, we admit that we have a lot to learn, and we are changing our display as we go along! Sorry to create all the confusion, we hope you haven't had too many difficulties finding us at our advertised events! The changes however, while perhaps costly, have been absolutely necessary!
A little history:
Our first show.... Ahh, wonderful while it lasted! Unfortunately, as it turns out, this display does not travel well. And so it is retired to the permanent Subtle Details Studio, where it awaits transformation!
Follow the images posted below to see the progress of the facelift transformation...
Not bad, but we're finally getting there, slowly....
These next few photos are not from our latest show, but they best represent our ultimate goal (for now!): TA, DA!
Perhaps I'll explain all the wonders of the new display in a later blog. For now, let me just add a BIG thank you to my husband, who, lets face it, made the whole thing for me...I just designed it and marked off where he was to cut the wood. I'd also like to thank my dad for building the critical piece of my first display...still in use, just re-purposed. None of this would have been possible without the help of my husband, my parents, and my friends. Thank you all.
Till next time!
b.t.w. I'll be posting images of my work soon. Impatient? Check out my website: www.subtledetails.ca!
Hi! This whole blogging thing is new to me, I'm not quite sure how to start it off! Where shall I begin? Introduce you to the ever changing, ever evolving Subtle Details traveling show? How about a little rant about my struggles with jewelry display? Or should I write about how flowers (a.k.a. Li'l Bouquet) aren't just for the spring & summer? What do you think? Be back soon...
